Avalanche forward forced to attend Cup Parade in wheelchair due to injury
The Stanley Cup is the toughest trophy to win in sports. It takes 4 series victories and 16 hard fought individual wins to capture the glory. Along that road often times comes injuries, and when it's all said and done those injuries can be far reaching.
In the case of Valeri Nichushkin, those injuries are going to carry over into the off season as he broken foot attempts to heal. Now while all his other teammates were able to attend the parade at full capacity, Nichushkin was forced to attend in his wheelchair.
Since the end up the playoffs Nichushkin shared photos of his foot and his brutal x-ray.
Congratulations to the Avalanche on their victory.
