Beer league player violently assaults another player and it's caught on camera
For most of us beer league players, beer league is just an opportunity to continue playing the game we love. However, there are still some players who think this is their last chance to be scouted into the NHL. Those players are usually the most dangerous.
For one beer league player, he took things to an all new level of violence. During a game the player in red seeks out the out the opposing player and trips his feet out from under him. Once the opposing player is on the ground he lifts his stick up and repeatedly strikes his opponent in the back before jumping on top of him.
The most clear thing from this video is that lack of response from the player in reds teammates. Nothing is more telling than a player not having teammates come to his aid. If your teammates have any sort of respect for you, they'll always have your back. But if you're out there and no one comes to your defense, it tells everyone everything they need to know.
There is no update on either player involved, but it's clear the player in red is likely going to be booted from the league and could even face criminal charges.
