Sometimes things happen in the game of hockey that make you scratch your head and wonder why, this is one of those instances. It sounds like a previously blacklisted NHL coach may be getting another shot, coaching a junior team.

According to Greg Drinnan, an authour and blogger who reports on the WHL, Bill Peters could be the leading candidate to take over the reigns of the Lethbridge Hurricanes; take a look.

Gregg is reporting that the leading candidate to replace Brent Kisio as head coach of the WHL's Lethbridge Hurricanes is none other than ex-Flames bench boss Bill Peters, who lost his job in Calgary back in 2019 amid allegations of racist conduct

This is a head scratching decision to say the least, especially considering how Peters was let go in Calgary in 2019. To have him tapped as the next man up to coach teenagers just doesn't sit right with me.

We'll see if this report comes to fruition, but if it is at all true, this should be very concerning for a lot of hockey fans and parents alike.
