Boston Bruins Head coach gives a hilarious quote about what it's like to deal with young players
Over the last ten years the NHL has transformed into a young man's game. Whether that's a good thing or bad thing, I'll leave that up to you. With those changes have come some advancements in certain aspects of the game.
Jim Montgomery is currently in his second NHL coaching stint. After two seasons with the Dallas Stars, Montgomery was relieved of his duties. This past summer the Boston Bruins decided to give Montgomery a second chance at an NHL career. So far that decision is paid off for the Bruins.
Today, during his media availability, Montgomery took some time to discuss what it is like to communicate with some of the younger players in today's NHL. Montgomery took the opportunity to not just make a point but to also make light of the situation with a joke.
That group, it's what they're used to. They reply to text messages. They don't phone you back. They don't call you back. Kind of like a lot of girls when I was dating.
It's clear the Montgomery is having fun during his time in Boston. The 53-year-old seems to be pulling all the right strengths as the Bruins are off to a great start. The Bruins currently sit first in the Atlantic division with 10 points.
