The Boston Bruins have been very active on the trade market this season, it's no secret that they're looking for forward help, mainly being in on Elias Lindholm, but now it appears they have a backup plan should they lose out on the Calgary Flames star.
According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, should the Bruins lose out on Lindholm, they're looking at Chicago Blackhawks forward Tyler Johnson; take a look.
Johnson, 33, has skated in 33 games for the Blackhawks this season scoring 7 goals and adding 4 assist for just all points.
It's very clear that Johnson is no Lindholm in both age and offensive output, but he is a serviceable bottom 6 forward.
In any case, the Bruins are busy on the trade front and have a decent option no matter the price of acquisition they want.
