Boston Bruins prospect removed from game on a stretcher after hit from behind
Playoff hockey is a physical game. It takes the intensity to an entirely new level and unfortunately that sometimes leads to injuries. That's exactly what happened to one of the Boston Bruins prospects during tonight's game.
Seconds into the 3rd period Bruins prospect Michael Callahan was on the receiving end of a hit that sent him head and neck first into that boards. Callahan was unable to get up as players around him begun a scrum.
Callahan was drafted in the 5th round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft and had played the last two seasons for the Providence Bruins. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him.
There has been no update on his condition at this time.
