Breaking News - Buffalo Sabres sign young star to a MASSIVE contract

The Buffalo Sabres new General Manager Kevyn Adams continued his rebuild of the Buffalo Sabres today. Today he announced the signing of forward Tage Thompson to a massive 7-year contract extension.
The deal works out to be a 7-year contract worth $49,980,000. The deal has an annual salary of $7,140,000. The 24 year old had 38 goals, and 30 assists in 78 games last season with the Sabres.
The Sabres acquired Thompson in the trade for Ryan O'Reilly in 2018 Thompson was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 2016 NHL Draft 26th overall.
