Breaking News - Kyle Dubas hires Jason Spezza to take on major role with the Pittsburgh Penguins
It always seemed like it was only a matter of time, but Kyle Dubas has taken part in his first hire with the Pittsburgh Penguins. After his playing career need in Toronto, Jason Spezza transitioned into a management role with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now it appears Kyle Dubas intends to manage the Penguins the same way he managed the Leafs. Today Dubas announced the hiring of Spezza to the Penguins.
Dubas issued the following statement:
After a decorated playing�career, Jason fully immersed himself on the management side of the game learning all facets of hockey operations this past season while with Toronto He showed tremendous work ethic, curiosity,�and ability to build relationships throughout all departments at the�team facility.�His move from the roster to the front office helped make the hockey ops, coaching staff, and playing roster a more cohesive and collaborative unit.
This move is the first of many expected moves for the Penguins.
