The Vancouver Canucks aren't looking good to start the season, as they are 0-4-2 in 6 games. Within this time frame, you have fans booing the Canucks on home ice and jersey throwing happening again.

The last time this happened in Edmonton it trigger major personnel changes, mainly coaching. It looks to have worked again as Elliotte Friedman had an update on the Vancouver Canucks front office:

Boudreau assumed the role on a two-year deal, taking over for Travis Green, in December 2021. The 67-year-old has guided the team to a 32-15-10 record (74 points), which was the second-best record by points-percentage (. 649) in the Pacific Division during Boudreau's partial season in charge

It's not like Boudreau is a losing coach, but it looks like major changes are coming regardless.

The inability to compete in a weaker NHL division such as the Pacific says a lot about the team itself. Here's hoping Boudreau can turn the team around yet again, like last season.

"It's not as bad as you guys think it is. The sky is not falling, certainly," he said. "It shouldn't matter what game we're playing. Whether we're 6-0 or what we are now. We have a hard game to play today. If we don't play well, it's not going to go well. We can control that, so that's what we're worried about."

That's a major yikes, from one of the Canucks forwards who just signed on long-term.
