Sad news from the Carolina Hurricanes this afternoon. After skating in only one game, Ondrej Kase is being evaluated by medical staff for another concussion. This is not Kase's first time having concussion either. The rugged twenty six year old winger has suffer multiple concussions over his career. His most recent being last season as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. You have to wonder if at some point Kase is forced to step away from the game permanently.

Kase is a seventh round pick of the Anaheim Duck in 2014. He has played two hundred fifty-eight games in the NHL and has recorded fifty-seven goals and sixty-seven assists. He has skated for the Ducks, Bruins, Maple Leafs, and now the Hurricanes. Kase signed as a free agent this off season with Caroliona. His tough and robust play is a good fit for the Hurricanes. He only made it eleven minutes into his first game before he was injured.

First and foremost let's hope Ondrej Kase is able to recover to one hundred percent health. At that point, he can make a decision on his future.
