Chicago Blackhawks refuse to let Toronto media speak to Patrick Kane
Rumors are swirling surrounding Patrick Kane and his trade deadline availability. Multiple reports have linked Kane to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tonight the Blackhawks were in Toronto to face the Maple Leafs. After a 5-2 loss Toronto media made every effort possible to try and gain access to Kane.
But instead of throwing Kane to the hyenas, the Hawks opted to keep Kane far away from the media.
We requested Kane post game but Blackhawks media relations says he's throwing a no quoter.
Keeping Kane from Toronto media saves him from multiple questions about his trade availability, but will do nothing to slow down media speculation. One thing is for sure though, the rumors are going to swirl right up until the very last moment...or until Kane is traded.
