The Columbus Blue Jackets have already endured an injury ridden season. Last night just over a minute into the game Russian forward Yegor Chinakhov injured his left leg and did not return to the game. He logged just thirty-seven seconds of ice time. Dallas Stars forward Joel Kiviranta skated into teammate Ryan Suter causing him to fall onto the left leg of Chinakhov. Chinakov looked in discomfort but was able to skate to the bench on his own. However, he barely put any pressure on his left leg.

Hopefully Chinakhov's injury is not severe, but it does seem like he will miss some time out of the Columbus lineup. Poor Columbus is already having a rough season. They're without Boone Jenner, Zach Werenski, Jakob Voracek, Jake Bean, and Adam Boqvist. So far it has been a season to forget for the Blue Jackets. They're in last place in the Metropolitan division.
