Connor Bedard scores a highlight reel goal, his first in a Blackhawks jersey
Hockey is almost back and with training camps around the corner, the various rookie tournaments are well under way. With that being said, all eyes are on this years 1st overall pick, Connor Bedard. It didn't take long for him to show why at the Tom Kurvers prospect showcase.
Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks took on the St. Louis Blues and he showed off his lethal shot beating the Blues starting goaltender and, holy, was it a thing of beauty; take a look.
We've seen this release time and time again at every level he's played at and he just continues to prove why he's been dubbed the next generational talent.
It is only the rookie showcase, but it if this is any indication, it doesn't look like he's going to be intimidated by the spot light in the slightest. Before long, that curl and drag between the dots will be seen all over, if it hasn't been already.
Blackhawks fans should be very excited and the rest of the league is certainly being put on notice.
Bedard wasn't done, adding to his first goal with his second and his third of the night. He's going to be a special player
