Crosby scores his 500th - The tributes and fun facts roll in
Last night Sidney Crosby scored his 500th career goal. He's come a long way from being "Sid the Kid". Crosby became only the 2nd active player to achieve this goal, behind Alexander Ovechkin who hit the mark 6 years ago.
As soon as Crosby scored the goal the Penguins bench cleared to celebrate with their captain.
The Penguins also had a special tribute planned from Penguins Legend, Mario Lemieux.
Soon after Penguins PR began to tweet out some rather impressive stats about Crosby's achievement.
Congrats Sid!
