With the latest rumors of Jesse Puljujarvi and the Edmonton Oilers set to part ways, we are starting to hear about teams being interested in his services. Puljujarvi is a restricted free agent, so the only way this is going to happen is through a trade or an offer sheet come July 13th at noon.
According to Chris Johnston from Hockey Insider, one team in the Eastern Conference has called the Oilers about Puljujarvi's status. The Ottawa Senators are strongly believed to be linked to Puljujarvi and would be looking to add some offensive touch to their top 6.
It is surprising to see Jesse's name all over the trade market, especially given his stats. While struggling to finish, he has driven play on every line he played on last season.
