When the National Hockey League's free agency opened, Vladimir Tarasenko was one of the top free agent names on the market. It's been 3 weeks since and his name is still on the board.
According to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now, the Florida Panthers, who still have roughly 10 million in cap space could be a landing spot for the skilled winger; take a look.
It obviously has been a very disappointing start for Tarasenko, who was sure he would get a deal with term as soon a July 1st hit, that didn't happen, as a result, he wants to sign soon in order to play next season.
Tarasenko, 31 had a pretty good season last year, and if he's willing to a pay cut to around 4 million he would give the Panthers good production while being relatively cheap on a short term deal.
Taresenko would also add between 40-50 points a year and could be moved up and down the lineup if need be, I think if both this could be a perfect fit for both sides.
