Former NHL Head Coach arrested
When the Florida Panthers announced that they fired Andrew Burnette, the hockey world was shot. Fast forward less than a year and Brunette is back in the spotlight but for all the wrong reasons. According to multiple news sources, Brunette was arrested earlier this morning.
According to these reports, Brunette was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The arrest occurred on Wednesday morning in Broward county, Florida.
Deputies reportedly took Brunette into custody and he is facing multiple charges including driving under intoxication and failure to stop at a stop sign.
No additional information is available at this time. Brunette currently works as an assistant coach for the New Jersey Devils. The devils have not issued a statement at this time. Hopefully the NHL makes all resources available to Brunette at this time.
