Former NHL enforcer shares what he thinks Sheldon Keefe should have done after Mitch Marner's temper tantrum
The Toronto Maple Leafs started off the season struggling to score goals. The team was trying too hard to overcompensate and this led to multiple mistakes. Those mistakes eventually led to Mitch Marner being benched from the top line and walking off the bench and down the tunnel to destroy a stick.
After Marner's temper tantrum he was eventually placed back onto the top line for the remainder of the game. Not everyone agreed with that decision.
John Scott has not been one to shy away from calling individual guys out on his podcast and it seems that Mitch Marner and Sheldon Keefe are his latest targets.
The only reason you leave the bench is if you're hurt that's it.... or if you're Huberdeau and you gotta go take a dump.
Scott goes to the extent of saying that if it were him in Keefe's position, he would have benched Mitch Marner for the rest of the game.
Anaheim scores two goals on his tab, gets in the shouting match with the coach. If I'm Keefe, I'm saying you leave the bench to go break your stick, you little baby. You entitled brat, you sit your ass on the bench and you're done.
