Last night Phil Kessel tied Keith Yandle's Ironman Streak record. With the record have come multiple stories about Kessel throughout his career. While Kessel played in Toronto he made up a very formidable line with James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak.

But eventually Kessel grew tired of the Toronto market and eventually requested a trade. That trade eventually led him to the Pittsburgh Penguins. During Kessel's first game back against the Leafs be lined up across from JVR, which led to this classic story.

My favorite Phil Kessel story is when he was playing in Pittsburgh. It was the first game after he was traded from Toronto. My line's lining up against him on the opening draw. So just to f-- with him a little bit, I chop him on top of the laces. Not too hard. Maybe like 509%. And he looks over at me, doesn't smile, and he says, "James ... don't forget who made you a player in this league."

Despite his quiet nature and private demeanour it's clear Kessel is one of the most liked players in the locker room. But don't try and take the Pepsi out of his water bottle or he'll lose his mind.
