Free agent forward spotted in Montreal with his equipment, is he signing with the Canadiens?
Well, as we approach the middle of August, more players are finding new homes and places to play for next season, but when a free agent shows up in a different city with his sticks and equipment, it might be an indication that they'll soon be signing a contract.
According to Jack Han, a hockey consultant and ex AHL coach, Jujhar Khaira was spotted in Montreal; take a look.
Is Jujhar Khaira signing with MTL? Pretty sure he just walked by me with his hockey bag at the airport.
Khaira, 28, was limited to just 51 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks scoring just 14 points including 8 goals and 6 assists.
The Montreal Canadiens would be a great place for him should he decide to sign there, while there will be added pressure from the media spotlight in Canada, Montreal is a re-building team with not a lot of expectations yet.
I just hope for his sake Khaira can stay healthy, he's been limited due to injury a lot in his 8 year National Hockey League career.
