GOJHL announces passing of young Kitchener Defenceman
The hockey community may be vast, but in a sense it's also tight knit where difficult circumstances can hit us all at any time. Earlier today, the Waterloo Siskins of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League took to Twitter to announce the passing of Owen Sound native 18-year-old Defenceman Tyson Downs.
The Youngster played one season for the Siskins' notching six goals along with seventeen assists in forty-five games.
The passing of any kind is tough for anyone to fathom, but for an individual of Downs age is extra difficult to comprehend.
We would like to extend our condolences to Downs' family, friends and teammates as well as anyone that is effected by this loss.
