News is coming in rapidly from Columbus' Nationwide Arena, as the game may be cancelled due to a power outage.
The Blue Jackets are supposed to face off at home tonight against the Anaheim Ducks at 6:30, but there's a possibility the game could be cancelled or pushed back due to this power outage. According to Brian Hedger of the Columbus Dispatch, the ice surface is fine due to the backup generator, but all other power is out.
In a following update, Hedger reporter the power could come back on just 30 minutes before game time. That likely won't be enough time to have players prepare for the game, and have arena employees set the stage for the arrival of fans.
This is a quickly developing story, but it appears that tonight's game between Columbus and Anaheim will be postponed or pushed to a later start time tonight.
