In game three of the second round matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, Milan Lucic made multiple questionable plays. When Lucic had an opportunity to take a cheap shot Sunday night, he took it. From sucker-punching an Oilers player, to running Mike Smith, Lucic was nothing but a pest on the ice.
That prompted former Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens enforcer Georges Laraque to step in and call Lucic out. Lucic and Laraque were former foes when Lucic was in Boston and Laraque was in Montreal. Laraque is also very familiar with the Battle of Alberta after spending 8 seasons with the Edmonton Oilers.
Ok @EdmontonOilers sign me up, got someone to destroy!!! My God what was that!!!
To be honest, the best thing for the Oilers would be if Milan Lucic didn't fight anyone and stayed on the ice as much as possible. Lucic didn't attempt a single shot in game three and was a -1. But when Lucic is able to get involved in the game physically that's when he's at his best.
