The ECHL is known as one of the toughest pro leagues on North America. When you play that level of pro hockey, more often than not, a fight or three are bound to happen during the course of a game.
When the Kalamazoo Wings took on Fort Wayne Komets, there was no exception, after giving up three goals on 21 shots Wings goaltender Evan Cormier was understandable frustrated as the first period ended, take a look:
Cormier left his crease and decided it would be a good idea to start a fight with Komets player Blake Siebenaler after the final horn on the first period. Cormier didn't even take of his mask but did drop his gloves.
From the looks of it, Evan Cormier is the poor persons Jordan Binnington. If you're a player and your goaltender randomly decides to fight a player, I don't think it goes over well.
Out of all of that however, Cormier only got a 2 minute penalty for leaving the crease and Siebenaler got 2 minutes for roughing.
