At the Vegas Golden Knights practice on Monday there was a noticeable absence as starting Goaltender Robin Lehner missed practice. General Manager addressed the media after and noted that Lehner had sustained an «upper-body injury» and he will be out for a significant amount of time. Frank Seravalli of the daily faceoff is reporting that is a torn labrum and the injury will most likely require surgery. With the Golden Knights going all in this year and if Lehner is hurt they will need to find an immediate replacement.

Per Frank Seravalli «Team sources say the Golden Knights have expressed interest in a potential reunion with goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury».
With a cap hit of $7 Million and a modified no trade clause there are only a select few destinations that Marc-Andre Fleury could go. But if Robin Lehner and his $5 million cap hit move to LTIR then the Golden Knights must send some salary back in a trade for Fleury to make him fit within their structure.

There is a lot of moving parts to do this, but the biggest question is whether Marc-Andre Fleury would even accept a trade back to his former team. We all remember the picture his agent sent when Lehner was started over Fleury in the playoffs. If both parties can reconcile this will certainly keep the Golden Knights in cup contention.
