Highly regarded prospect who has refused to sign with Arizona Coyotes expected to draw a ton of interest
When the Arizona Coyotes drafted John Farinacci in the 3rd round of the 2019 NHL Draft, they had high hopes for the forward. Since being selected Farinacci committed to Harvard University, gained both size and strength. Farinacci has also developed into a point per game player at the NCAA level.
In March rumors swirled that Farinacci was going to return to University for another season. However, in April he shutdown those rumors informing the Coyotes he intends to turn pro, but with another team.
Contrary to previous information, John Farinacci had indicated to #Yotes that he will turn pro with another team
He will become a free agent on August 15 unless Arizona trades his rights
Now it appears the Farinacci is drawing a ton of interest from other teams. Rumors have linked Farinacci to the Boston Bruins, who require depth at center and the Calgary Flames. Farinacci is best friends with Flames' prospect Matthew Coronato, which could lure him to Calgary.
Either way it seems that there is A LOT of interest in Farinacci and this is likely to be another blow to the Coyotes.
