The New York Rangers are a good young team with a lot of promise, especially on the back end and it looks like they want to keep their young defence corps in tact.
According to The Athletic, the Rangers are looking at signing defenceman Ryan Lindgren to a contract extension, for the right price; take a look.
The Rangers hope is that the deal would be long term and the deal would carry a more team friendly cap hit of just over 4 million dollars.
Lindgren, 25, appeared in 63 games for the Rangers last season scoring 18 points, including 1 goal and 17 assists. Lindgren has spent his entire 5 year career with the Rangers and with them trending in the right direction, the hope is they can lock him down for the foreseeable future.
