Hockey fans react to the passing of Chicago Blackhawks owner and it's not all positive
Rocky Wirtz purchased the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 and brought the franchise back to respectability. However, while most of his tenure in Chicago was extremely positive, there will always be a black eye on the organization due to the Kyle Beach scandal.
Yesterday at 70-years-old Wirtz passed away, while there were many outpourings of love and respect for Wirtz there were other reactions that weren't so positive.
Wirtz accomplish many things in Chicago and deserves credit for those things. He also marked the final remaining piece of the organization from the Kyle Beach saga, so hopefully the Blackhawks can finally get the fresh start the franchise deserves.
