The Seattle Kraken have been the surprise of the National Hockey League season thus far sitting 3rd in the pacific division and firmly in a playoff position, they have their eyes on something bigger.
According to the 4th periods David Pagnotta, the Kraken are on the hunt to add to their roster ahead of what they hope is their 1st playoff push.
The Kraken have surprised the entire league with their stellar play this season, but I worry that their expectations could be too high during their second campaign. Yes, after last year and their abysmal showing, I bet they want to prove people wrong, I don't thing going all in would be the way to do it though.
The Kraken have a General Manager in Ron Francis who historically goes big at or near the trade deadline, mortgages his teams future only to fizzle out early in the playoffs. I hope when looking to add this year, he realizes Seattle needs to protect its assets as well.
