Max Pacioretty makes a fan's night after seeing him disappointed on the Jumbotron
Max Pacioretty has yet to play a single game for the Carolina Hurricanes, but that hasn't stopped him from endearing himself to the fan base. This summer Pacioretty was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for the elusive "future considerations". Unfortunately before even playing a game Patches tore his Achilles tendon.
The tear has kept Pacioretty out of the lineup, but he is nearing a return in the new year. Pacioretty however was in attendance recently at a Hurricanes game. On the in-game video board the Canes showed an excited young fan.
The fan grew too excited and accidentally lost his ice cream cone. Pacioretty, the father of 5, immediately leapt into action and saved the day.
Patches should return to the Canes lineup in the next couple months giving the Canes already potent offense, a whole different level of punch. Good on you Max!
