On Wednesday, Jaromir Jagr suited up for the club he owns in Czechia, Rytiri Kladno, as they took on HC Dynamo Pardubice. Jagr was on the team's second line with Jakub Strnad and New Jersey Devils prospect Jaromir Pytlik.
It didn't take Jagr long to get back onto the scoresheet as he picked up an assist in the second period on a beautiful pass to Jakub Strnad to get Kladno on the board and cutting Pardubice's lead to one.
With Jagr now returning to professional hockey for a 37th season, he will have to wait even longer to have his named called to the Hall of Fame with him not being eligible for induction until 2027.
Kladno are hoping that Jaromir Jagr will give them a bit of a boost in the standings as they sit 13th in the Czech Extraliga with seven wins and 19 losses in 26 games and are in danger of being relegated. Kladno's roster features a few familiar faces to hockey fans in North America with Michael Frolik, Jake Dotchin and former Dallas Stars prospect Landon Bow between the pipes.
It's going to be a big year for Jaromir Jagr in 2024 as not only will he be trying to help Kladno avoid relegation, he'll finally see his number 68 raised to the rafters in Pittsburgh ahead of their game on February 18th against the Los Angeles Kings.
