John Gibson tries to fight Evander Kane after the whistle
John Gibson has struggled for the better part of this season and the entire Ducks organization is on edge after the Troy Terry incident. But it appears that incident didn't stop Gibson, because after Evander Kane swatted at Gibson the goalie lunged for Kane.
Both Kane and Gibson received roughing minors on the play, while Josh Mahura also picked up a minor for the Ducks. The Oilers got the last laugh because Connor McDavid notched his 40th of the season only 5 seconds after the powerplay began.
Gibson allowed 3 goals on 16 shots in the 1st period.
