Jon Cooper is a hypocrite and this video absolutely proves it
Don't get me wrong, a Head Coach's job is to defend his team and part of that involves gaming the officials. But watching Jon Cooper's post game press conference last night just showed how much or a hypocrite he truly is. For some context let's rewind to last year's Conference Finals Game 2.
On this play Ondrej Palat scores the Lightning's 2nd goal of the game, giving them a 2 goal lead. On the play though the Lightning actually have 7 skaters and Andrei Vasilevskiy on the ice. Barry Trotz was absolutely incensed by this play, but guess who didn't have anything to say about it?
That's right, Jon Cooper.
Let's also mention Cooper's biggest too many men heist.
It's hard to feel sorry for Cooper and the Lightning given their COVID Cups.
