Over the Four Nations Finale tournament, Brady Tkachuk made a huge name for himself to the entire sporting world, and as he returns to the Ottawa Senators, he hopes to push them towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2024/25.
In seven years since being drafted with the team No. 4 overall back in 2018, the teams current captain is yet to see post-season action, but after finally getting a taste of the best-on-best action, it's safe to say that he's built for the spotlight and for the big moments.
Unfortunately, that very thing may be what drives him away from the Senators, as Insider Andy Strickland has now stated his believe that Tkachuk's time in Ottawa is coming to an end soon.
The 25-year old is under contract for a further three years after 2024/25, and given the success that his brother Matthew has had in Florida, it's easy to see why Strickland is one of many who believe the two will try and team up at some point throughout their NHL careers.
Not only does Brady bring great scoring, with 83 and 74 points over the last two seasons, but he also brings the intangibles that make an NHL player special, and with a desire to compete at the highest level consistently, it's likely going to force him out of Ottawa.
Ultimately, there's a chance that if he finds that over the next 18 months he could stay with the Senators, but given that the 2026 Olympic Games are less than a year away, his desire to play with Matthew will only grow, so don't be shocked if he looks to force a trade at some point in time.
