Long-time Russian Super League/KHL forward passes away at 44
Some sad news to report on in the hockey world on Thursday as according to reports, long-time Russian Super League and KHL forward Dmitri Tarasov has passed away at the age of 44.
At this time, details surrounding Tarasov's passing have not been released.
Tarasov spent 17 seasons in the Russian Super League and KHL, 14 of which were spent with Amur Khabarovsk, including five as team captain. In 644 regular season games, Tarasov had 225 points (88 goals, 137 assists) and also won a Russian Super League championship in 2008.
