In the Eastern Conference, the NHL has today released the initial roster of All-Stars.
For this year's All-Star Weekend in Toronto, they released an Eastern Conference roster to engage and excite fans.
Auston Matthews, Sidney Crosby, Jack Hughes, and Alexander Ovechkin come to mind when you think Eastern Conference, don't you?
However, Alexander Ovechkin was snubbed from the initial roster, along with Artemi Panarin and William Nylander, who were also ignored in favor of Boone Jenner.
The Blue Jackets will send Boone Jenner, while the Capitals will send Goon Tom Wilson instead of Ovechkin, who is on the hunt for a record.
Also, Tom Wilson?! There is no contest between William Nylander and that talentless hack. He is on pace for 45 goals and 117 points this season while having 19 goals and 31 assists for 50 points.
It's insulting.
Finally, Artemi Panarin, a consummate and consistent player who also deserves an All-Star nod, was left off the Eastern Conference roster in favor of Sam Reinhart.
Bettman and company, get it together now, this clown show has gotta stop.
