One of those players that's already on the move is Buffalo Sabres top prospect Matthew Savoie.
Savoie, who was playing for the Western Hockey League's Wenatchee Wild, has been traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for seven draft picks including two first-rounders in 2024 and 2027.
‼️BLOCKBUSTER TIME ‼️
We've acquired 19-year-old forward Matthew Savoie from the Wenatchee Wild!
Savoie, a native of St. Albert, Alberta, has appeared in 11 WHL games this season for Wenatchee where he has 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists).
With the three leagues under the CHL gearing up for their respective trade deadlines over the next week, among the other names from Team Canada that are expected to be moved are Conor Geekie in the WHL and Owen Beck in the OHL.
