Marc-Andre Fleury risks broken hand to save a goal
Many expected Marc-Andre Fleury to be held out of tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets, especially less than 24-hours before the trade deadline. Despite being linked to the Minnesota Wild, Fleury was between the pipes.
During the second period Fleury lost his catching glove and rather than frantically searching for it, Fleury chose to square up to the shooter and try to make a save.
I'm sure both Kyle Davidson and Bill Guerin were sitting with baited breath watching the entire play.
Lucky for Fleury he avoided injury on the play, but unfortunately he wasn't able to stop Kyle Connor from getting one past him for the 4-2 lead.
