Mark Giordano's mistake leads to a HUGE hit by Josh Anderson
Josh Anderson loves to add a physical presence to every game. Even with the Canadiens officially eliminated from the post season the team is still playing for pride. That's why no one was surprised that the team put up such a respectable effort in last night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
With the Maple Leafs leading the game 3-2 in the 3rd period, veteran defenseman, Mark Giordano made a mistake that led to Anderson landing a huge hit. As Giordano headed back deep into his own zone, he shoulder checked, picked up the puck, but then indecision set in.
As Giordano delayed on making a decision, Anderson approached and absolutely leveled the veteran defenseman. Giordano was able to move the puck down the wall, but it was clear Gio knew he'd made a mistake.
Luckily Giordano was uninjured on the play and the Leafs held on to win the game 3-2 and seal a 100-point season and clinch a post season birth.
