Minnesota Wild top prospect drawing considerable interest on the trade market
Minnesota Wild prospect, Jack McBain has informed management that he is not willing to sign a contract with them and will opt for Free Agency in the Summer when his rights expire. The 22-year old, Toronto native, was drafted 63rd overall in the 2018 NHL Draft.
McBain has been playing the last 4-years at Boston College. This season he has 19 goals and 33 points in 24 games. The scouting report on the center is that he has sound two-way instincts and excellent hockey sense. Displays great work ethic and leadership skills.
The Wild will want to get some sort of return on McBain as multiple teams are calling. Per TSN Insider, Darren Dreger the reported asking price is a Second Round pick but as multiple teams get involved it could drive up that price. A few of those reported teams include the Arizona Coyotes, Winnipeg Jets, and Montreal Canadiens.
