Yesterday, before the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins took the Ice, Bruins star Brad Marchand took aim at Leafs winger Mitch Marner after he called him out for talking about video games and his dog on the ice among other things.
Today on Tim and Friends Marner address what Marchand had to say, essentially laughing Marchand's comments off, take a look:
yeah man, those comments are funny. I had a nice chuckle when I saw those after the game. Yeah I mean I don't talk to him a whole lot on the ice, but I guess he's something against video games and Zeus, but that's fine with me man. It's all chill. It's how I like to spend my off time is doing those things and relaxing with friends and family
Listen, we all know it's Marchand's game to try and get under the opposing teams skin, however in this case I don't actually think it worked at all.
Marner appears to be unbothered about the entire thing, which I know will have some people questioning his mindset as it always does, but in this case, I actually think his response is appropriate.
Players like Marchand want a response on and off the ice and sometimes, not giving them one is the best thing to do.
