Mitchell Miller signs brand new contract after having deal terminated by the Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins made a huge mistake when they signed Mitchell Miller to a three-year, entry-level contract last November. The organization felt such a harsh blowback from the public that the team reportedly cut ties with the player two days later and ultimately terminated his contract in February.
Miller pleaded guilty in an Ohio juvenile court in 2016 on charges of assault and a violation of the Ohio Safe Schools Act after he and a classmate were accused of racially motivated bullying of a developmentally disabled Black classmate, Isaiah Meyer-Crothers.
However, that wasn't enough to stop Miller from finding another contract. Today it was announced the 21-year-old defenceman has found a place to play for this upcoming season. Hockey Insider Chris Johnston reported that Miller has signed in Slovakia with HK 32 Liptovsk Mikulá. This is the top league in Slovakia.
