Last summer, then Canadiens General Manager, Marc Bergevin tried to address the Canadiens lack of depth at center. Bergevin opted to trade for Christian Dvorak from the Arizona Coyotes. Bergevin paid a steep price for Dvorak, but the hope was he'd fit in perfectly down the middle for Montreal.

Unfortunately for the Canadiens, Dvorak didn't have a very good year due to injures. Dvorak only played in 56 games and would only manage 11 goals and 22 assists, but even more troubling was Dvorak's defensive results. Dvorak was considered one of the better two way centers, but he put up a disappointing -19 rating.

Now the Canadiens and new General Manager, Kent Hughes are trying to fix the Canadiens with very little cap space to work with. Now it is appears he is looking to trade Dvorak and it's believed Dvorak will likely be traded before opening night.

Selling Dvorak at his lowest possible value will likely upset some Habs fans, but Gorton and Hughes have a plan and they're sticking to it.
