Moritz Seider catches Erik Karlsson with a huge hit and no one comes to his defense
One of the most surprising players in the NHL this season is Erik Karlsson. Karlsson appears to have turned back the hands of time and suddenly found his former Norris Trophy form. In 48 games this season Karlsson already has 62 points.
Tonight during the game between the San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings, Karlsson was on the receiving end of a huge hit from Moritz Seider. As Karlsson came through the middle, Seider saw an opportunity to step up and deliver the big hits he's known for.
Karlsson luckily wasn't injured by the hit, but shockingly no one on the ice responded to the hit. No one even approached Seider about the hit, and while it's unnecessary for anyone to drop the gloves with Seider, it's clear the Sharks are just playing out this season without much care for their teammates.
