Multiple people suffer injuries as Edmonton Oiler fans breakthrough barricade to break into sold out watch party
Almost every National Hockey League teams are having viewing parties outside of their arenas, whether they're at home or away. It has become a common occurrence during the playoffs. Still, sometimes things get out of control, as was the case tonight.
According to YEG Wave, an entertainment page on Twitter, fans who were unable to attend the game broke through a barricades at the Moss Pit, where fans were watching the Edmonton Oilers take on the Los Angeles Kings tonight; take a look:
People have broken through the Moss pit barrier to get in. It was at maximum capacity.
The viewing area was at capacity, and fans stormed the barricade to knock it down, running over security in the process. Reports state that law enforcement was able to get things under control shortly after.
According to reports on Twitter multiple people suffered minor injuries during the incident.
