Multiple players placed on waivers as teams begin to cut cap space
With the regular season only a couple of weeks away teams have already begun to trim their rosters. These players are all likely to be assigned to teams American Hockey League affiliates if they clear. Teams are already preparing what they're opening day rosters will look like.
Today teams placed the following players on waivers:
Hunt and Smallman mark the 2nd and 3rd players cut by the Avalanche as they released Alex Galchenyuk yesterday. It is unlikely any of these players are claimed as teams continue to look for depth options on the upcoming waiver wire.
