The reputation of George Parros and the NHL Department of Player Safety is not a positive one. Despite years of inconsistency and a lack of control, the league refuses to replace George Parros. Fans however, continue to cry out and advocate for the former and forcer to be replaced.

Over his time as head of the department Parros has failed to provide consistency in his judgments. Fans often feel his love for the physical play often clouds his judgment, leaving players more vulnerable to be injured. Last night Garnet Hathaway three a knee that left Zach Werenski injured. Today the DoPS made their announcement.

Philadelphia's Garnet Hathaway has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Kneeing Columbus' Zach Werenski.

Today the Blue Jackets announced Werenski would miss a minimum of two weeks after suffering a contusion to his leg. Fans immediately felt this punishment wasn't enough given the action of Hathaway, but what do you think?
