After a wild game last night in St. Louis, the NHL's Department of Player Safety has fined Blues' Forward David Perron $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Cross-checking Colorado's Nazem Kadri.

The Blues said they intended to focus on winning Game 4, but they wound up seeking revenge against Kadri during their 6-3 defeat.

Kadri's actions in Game 3, where his collision with Jordan Binnington put the Blues' goaltender out for at least the rest of the series, put the focus on him all game a game where he recorded a hat trick as Colorado took a 3-1 series lead.

Besides the cross check, Perron nearly caught Kadri up high with an elbow as he was celebrating his second goal.

Kadri is enjoying his time in the second round for the first time in his career. He has 4 goals and 3 assists in the four games against the Blues. Game 5 will go on Wednesday night.
