NHL investigating Golden Knights trade, trade could be voided
This is the NHL Trade Deadline that keeps on giving. According to multiple sources it sounds as if the trade that sent Evgeni Dadonov to the Anaheim Ducks might not have been completed as per NHL rules.
Chris Johnston of TSN sent out the following message:
We may not have heard the last of this Evgenii Dadonov trade. This is the deadline that never ends.
The Golden Knights followed up that message with a message of their own.
We have become aware of an issue with respect to the trade. We have been consulting with the league office. We will provide further information once it becomes available. #VegasBorn
There are those who have speculated that Dadonov may have had the Ducks on his no-trade list and he hadn't signed off on the move before it was completed.
