The New Jersey Devils are a young team filled with talent who are desperately trying to find a way out of the basement in the Eastern Conference. One of those building block cornerstones that was supposed to help them get out of the bottom of the east, was goaltender, Mackenzie Blackwood, but it appears Blackwood may be on his way out of Jersey.
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, the sense in the New Jersey organization is that they have lost all faith in Mackenzie Blackwood as a player.
Blackwood, 25, did not have a great season with New Jersey last season, in 25 games he went 9-10-4 with 2 shutouts a 3.39 goals-against-average and a .892 save percentage. Couple that with his off-ice issues surrounding the vaccine amongst other things, Blackwood has been given a vote of non-confidence by management.
